How often should my racking be inspected?

This is dependant on the usage and traffic your racking is subjected to. A good starting point would be once a week for each area.

Who is SEMA?

SEMA  - Storage Equipment Manufacturers Association.
They are a european organisation who specialise in compliance and regulations within the FEM and EN regulations. South African manufacturers tend to use these regulations as a basis for manufacturing of racking and shelving in South Africa.

Does my racking need to be certified?

South Africa doesn't have any regulations specifying the safe use of racking, shelving or storage systems. However, some companies are required to certify their storage systems by their insurance companies.
